Acupuncture can be beneficial for women during the fertility process either you are trying naturally or going through fertility treatment such as IVF or IUI. In general acupuncture may help you to relax and improve your general health and wellbeing.
Some research has been done for the use of acupuncture in the following areas:
-

-
Helping to ease pre-menstrual symptoms
-
Helping to counteract stress levels
-
Improving blood circulation to the pelvic area, including the ovaries and uterus

All of this may have important part to play in the fertility process.

In addition to acupuncture, we may offer Chinese Heabal medicine, nutitional/life style advice to support the fertility process.
Supporting IVF/IUI treatment with Acupuncture?
Acupuncture can promote relaxation and relieve stress, both of which can be beneficial when going through fertility treatments. It is performed during the lead-up to an IVF cycle and immediately before and after egg transfer, at times when your body will benefit the most from being fully relaxed.
Some researches suggests that the mind has a strong impact on the body. Our personalised and holistic approach to fertility helps you to get the most benefit.
When is acupuncture recommended during IVF/IUI treatments?
For women we may advise on having acupuncture sessions at the particular times during the IVF process:
-
In the lead up to your IVF cycle
-
Before or/and after egg transfer
-
After the egg transfer – two weeks wait
During the two-week wait, which can be an anxious time. We recommend a gentle acupuncture treatment alliviate stress and promote relaxation. These will be a comforting sessions which help to support your body and relieve tension whilst you await your pregnancy result.
We will work with you to tailormade a highly individualised plan to see if acupuncture could be beneficial to your fertility journey.

TESTIMONIALS
"I can not recommend Kana enough, after being diagnosed with pcos and not having any periods for 10 months I made my first appointment. Straight away Kana made me feel comfortable, was extremely professional and explained everything to me in detail. After just one session I got my period back! And was very fortunate to fall pregnant just a couple of weeks later. I continued my treatment with Kana throughout my whole pregnancy which really helped me to relax. I can not begin to thank Kana enough, going through infertility is a very scary journey but from day 1 I felt supported and listened to. I now have a healthy baby girl, for anyone else going through infertility I would definitely recommend acupuncture." Cherise
"Acupuncture with Kana was a great support during my ultimately successful IVF cycle. Kana took me through sessions to prepare my body for the medication so that it was ready for the egg retrieval and then very kindly gave me acupuncture the day before my embryo transfer, despite it being a public holiday, to give me the best chance of my body being receptive to the embryo. I continued to have sessions through pregnancy right up to the delivery of my baby boy. I would highly recommend. The sessions helped relax me and gave me confidence on the fertility path I was on." Kate
“I had acupuncture with Kana alongside my IVF treatment. I felt peace and good energy after every acupuncture session. The sessions also helped me to relax before and after embryo transfer, which I felt helped a lot with the IVF process. My partner and I had a baby girl last year. Kana is very professional and calm natured. She is also very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of good advice and solutions for nausea, back and pelvic pain during pregnancy.
I would definitely be returning to see Kana for more treatment and for when I undergo future IVF treatment. I would also recommend others see her.” Jaqui
